A Closer Look
Everything you need and more is included with the HyperX Cloud 2, the headset alone comes with a 1 meter cable , and the soundcard comes with 2 meter cable so that means you are getting 3 meters of braided cable.
Inside we also have: the 7.1 virtual surround sound card, interchangeable ear cups, airline headphone adapter , also a case to keep everything nice and safe.
The HyperX 7.1 Virtual Surround sound card serves many things such as controlling the volumes for both the headset and mic and also being able to mute the mic, and delivering the 7.1 virtual surround sound which works out to be excellent and this all done using the long 2 meter braided USB cable which you can plug in your PC, Laptop, Mac etc. You are also able to use the HyperX cloud 2 without the USB sound card just with the 3.5mm jack which you can use on almost anything such as smartphones, PS4 and (adapter needed for Xbox one)
The Detachable and adjustable Microphone looks and performs excellent, the build quality of the mic feels expensive.
Here is a video of the microphone being tested:

Look & Feel
The 100% memory foam feels very comfortable after countless hours of gaming the height is adjustable to fit a smaller head to a big head.
The stitching is something that really stands out from the red aluminum finish to the HyperX logo everything just fits into place.

With The Mic
From the overall look I could not find anything that I did not like and I really tried, not in this case everything looks excellent from the HyperX logo stitching at the top to the red and black finish everything just makes sense.
Audio / Mic Perfomance
The clarity of the Audio does not go unnoticed the Pure HI-FI 53MM drivers deliver that, we tested the audio in multiple environments such as gaming watching movies or just listening to music, the HyperX Cloud2 are more toward gaming but the quality they deliver in other situations is incredible.
Using the 7.1 Surround sound on the HyperX cloud2 works excellent as it should many other competitors are unable to deliver that, but the HyperX cloud 2 does an excellent job, tested Battlefield 4 with the 7.1 Surround sound and you are able to pickup when someone is behind you or in front of you or bullets shooting from behind or sideways. The audio quality of the Cloud2 deserves a 5/5
The hyperX cloud 2 microphone performance is above excellent with great noise cancelation and being able to deliver your voice to other people as it should be, the AGC performs excellent being able to boost sound when needed to. The mic was tested multiple times using games, live chat, and also performing vocal recordings it sure surpassed every aspect which a mic should delivering great bass, mids and highs.
There was a little problem which I encountered during the testing at times there is little scratching noise you are able to hear if you are doing vocal recording, but otherwise its unnoticeable if you are doing anything else.
The HyperX Cloud 2 from Kingston left an amazing impression on me it just shows you that everything matters, how the product is packed and how its taken care of until it arrives in your hands and Kingston has achieved just that.
